ADA statement for Library websites

The George A. Smathers Libraries at the University of Florida are committed to the ideal of universal web accessibility and strives to provide an accessible web presence that enables all university community members and visitors full access to information provided on its websites. Great effort has been made to make the content produced by the Smathers Libraries faculty and staff and posted to its web pages as accessible as possible in accordance with the applicable law and related guidelines. In the event a user encounters content that is not accessible, a request may be made in accordance with the procedures outlined below.

  • Title of Work
  • URL of Work
  • Purpose of Use
  • Date Needed By

Depending on the type of materials, owner of the materials and several other factors, the Libraries may be able to provide captioning, audio description, or transcription upon request for audio or video works that are created by the Smathers Libraries.
